Known as the most notorious racing plane, the
GEE BEE Super Sportster aircraft made use of new and bold design concepts to get
as much speed as possible and has become legendary. During "The Golden Age of
Air Racing" - from the late 1920's to mid 1930's, the Granville brothers' GEE
BEE R-2 was specially built to suit the long range and speed demanding "BENDIX
TROPHY" RACE. Authentically complete with movable wheels, detailed hatches,
flaps, turning propeller, clear cockpit, and more, including the unique wheel
fairings.
This airplane is Almost-Ready-to-Fly. The fuselage is made of fiberglass. The
other part is made of balsa wood. It copies the real plane. Additional
equipments are needed to fly: Radio Transmitter, receiver, 4 x servos, motors,
speed controllers, etc. This airplane is only for intermediate player.
