Why can't we match prices of stores located in Hong Kong and China?

Customers who buy from overseas have to pay possible import tax and Customs brokerage fee. These hidden charges are not reflected in the prices of those overseas stores. Plus, international shipment is usually much slower than domestic shipment. It's more difficult for those stores to provide good customer services. Imagine you have to make international calls to talk to somebody whose native language is not English.

How can I tell if a store is located overseas?

Overseas store usually doesn't have a US address or telephone number. Some overseas stores may list US phone numbers, but no addresses. Their phone numbers are usually voice mail boxes.
